Tip: Transfer contacts without Outlook (Express), no need for OVI, either

I struggled to export contacts properly without being forced to use Outlook

CSV files, even if they are created by PcSuite itself, are sometimes not recognized by PcSuite (...). Somehow you cannot directly export to VCF files (imagine that Nokia would make people's lives easy :smileywink: ).

Here a short howto

  1. Connect to your phone with PcSuite (even "OVI-only" phones work)
  2. Open contacts, select all contacts
  3. right-click selection, select "send business card"
  4. Click "Preview Message" (open envelope icon at the bottom)
  5. Click "View business cards" (message with paperclip icon)
  6. Click "Save to file" (document with plus icon)
  7. Choose a location, create a new folder, and you will have saved contacts separately as VCF. These can be imported by many programs.

Works with PcSuite 7.1 (Windows) and Nokia 6303i classic, 6230i and 3120
