I don't understand this statement. If S60v3 is totally free from malware, what is there to be careful about? Please elaborate.

There are no real viruses (apps that can install secretly, and spread on their own and infect others).
Malware, or malicious apps can and do exist. They'd, e.g., be apps that pose themselves as games, and the when you install them, they might ring up your phone bill, or send your contact book info to someone, etc.
The best way to avoid malware, is to install apps only from reputable sources (e.g., Ovi Store, or my-symbian.com or getjar.com or a reputable app developer's own site). Especially, avoid pirated/cracked versions of commercial apps (they might be just the cracked version, or they might be or contain something entirely different from what you thought it was/is).
