Asha 311 Nokia Store Update Problem

Today i bought the Asha 311 and have updated it to latest version V5.92 which is the latest available. I connected to wifi and browsed few websites in the mobile. Things are looking good so far. But when i opened Nokia Store, it said it needed an update of 1.2mb. So i proceeded. Then comes the "Downloading..." screen. This is where i am stuck. It doesnt download anything..and just stuck there. I waited for 30 min with screen on..still it is downloading.

I reset settings, reset the whole phone..still the Nokia store wont update. Due to this i cant download any apps on the phone.

Please help what is wrong with my phone. What shud i do?

hi mate,

have you tried uninstalling the Nokia Store then re-downloading and installing it from http://store.ovi.com ??

Is there a way to remove the stock apps? I would want to delete many such apps which are a waste of space.

if an uninstall option does not come up, then it is impossible to remove the stock apps, unfortunately.

Thanks for response. I have reinstalled the whole update. Now market seems to update fine and i am able to download apps.
Just when i thought things are fine, there is an annoying "Network Busy" pop up that shows up every 30 min or so. Even when the screen is off, it shows up. It is annoying and it also drains battery. Any one else has the problem? How to get rid of it?
Why does symbian has so many issues?

It isn't Symbian, its Series 40, or Asha Touch as it is referred to these days. Sorry to hear the continued problems you are having. Not sure how to remove that prompt, unless you try Restoring your phone to factory settings. also check the condition of your SIM card, and that your data settings are still correct, and that your data plan is activated with your network carrier.
