Every time i try to access the marketplace, it comes up with this error code, saying that marketplace isn't available at the moment. My phone is a Nokia Lumia

 I've had the same error a couple of times this morning on my 920. But it seems to be fine now.

Ah, check on that service note. It's weird though, the service works every now and then, but lets say, 60-70% of the time its down. Mostly occurs when trying to download an app.

reset the phone, save your data first on your pc, if that does not work then contact the retailer where you purchased the phone, usually they give some sort of warranty... seems to be more of a device problem rather than its link, nokia usually has their links up and running. and also depends if your phone is brand new or second handed. also your network provider might be able to help in that, mine is usually pretty good. best of luck.

Same happens to me. I have a new Nokia lumia 800, previously i had a different error code so reset the phone and now getting this error code. This is a real pain, i am loathe to reset phone again as it takes a while to put all info back etc.
I cannot recommend these phones due to these continual problems

The problem is with the Microsoft Store and not your phone. So, you don't need to perform a reset on your phone to fix this issue. All we can do is wait for MS to sort out the problem with the Store. By the way, I'm also getting the same error code on my Lumia 920 today.
