I don't understand...where do you see "Disconnected"?  Are you seeing an error message, is your data connections shutting off, or is something else happening?  (Maybe a picture would help?)  How many programs have you tried installing, and are they all .jad files?  Would you provide a link to at least one of them?

Re: Installing A .Jad File On My Nokia E5 Shows 'Disconnected'!

It shows disconnected on the web browser... Right after it shows installing it suddenly shows a 'disconnected' alert... And yes, it happens for only .jad files... I can install .jar files but for example I can't install a .jad opera mini from their download site...

Re: Installing A .Jad File On My Nokia E5 Shows 'Disconnected'!

I just had a look at the Opera web site and think I understand the problem.  The way Opera has packaged Opera Mini 6.1, you don't need the .jad file.  It is only a text file that makes your phone reconnect to opera.com (using the Nokia browser?) and automatically download the .jar.  If you can install and use the .jar version, then ignore the .jad.  It is strange the .jad fails, but maybe you do something special with your Internet connection, like always use WiFi?  I believe the Email wizard also has some networking limitations.  I hope that helps.

Re: Installing A .Jad File On My Nokia E5 Shows 'Disconnected'!

BTW, if you don't mind a little hacking, you may be able to work around the Facebook problem.  Still odd that .jad files don't work...

.jad files are usually (always?) just text files.  This is the Opera Mini file:

MIDlet-Version: 6.1
MIDlet-1: Opera Mini, /i.png, Browser
MIDlet-Description: Opera Mini
MIDlet-Icon: /i.png
MIDlet-Info-URL: http://mini.opera.com/
MIDlet-Install-Notify: http://mini.opera.com/n/25378Awonderlover_en
MIDlet-Jar-Size: 298380
MIDlet-Jar-URL: opera-mini-6.1.25378-advanced-en.jar
MIDlet-Name: Opera Mini
MIDlet-Permissions: javax.microedition.io.Connector.http
MIDlet-Permissions-Opt: javax.microedition.io.Connector.sms, javax.wireless.messaging.sms.send, javax.microedition.io.Connector.socket, javax.microedition.io.Connector.file.write, javax.microedition.io.Connector.file.read
MIDlet-Vendor: Opera Software ASA
Content-Folder: Applications
MicroEdition-Configuration: CLDC-1.0
MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-2.0
Nokia-MIDlet-No-Exit: true
Nokia-MIDlet-On-Screen-Keypad: no

Just view the .jad in a text editor like Notepad or maybe Quick Office.  To download the .jar directly, the URL appears to be "http://mini.opera.com/" + "opera-mini-6.1.25378-advanced-en.jar".  No guarantee it works for Facebook, but it's worth a try. :smileyhappy:

IAMALYSTA I think I can help you out. All ya need do is to Resset your phone to factory's default: if dat does nt work, then try updating your phone and that's all.
