hi,

i just got my lumia 710 from my service provider 6 days ago, and no xbox live tile is found when i unboxed it.

the "game" tile is merely THE games hub, and not the xbox live that i was expecting.

i had it checked with my local nokia center, and it still the same. and said they will still have to verify whether xboxlive is not included in latest update or not. she seemed indecisive.

i tried to download "xbox extras" in marketplace, but it doesn't reflect on my game collections.

any word on this? PLEAAAASSSSE.

need a response so i could still have this unit changed if possible. (should this be something unusual)

i still have a day left for replacement.

btw, im from the philippines... and it's just weird that i dont have this. but my co.worker who owns a lumia 610 has this XBOX LIVE in his phone.

I believe there is/was a workaround although not seen it substantiated "you can access Xbox Live titles in the Philippines. Just sign-up for a Windows Live account and select US as your country. You would then use that Windows Live account when setting up your Windows Phone for the first time. Unionbank EON debit cards work with the US Marketplace"

You would need to go to Settings > about > reset your phone and start with device in "Out of box" state.

Only reason for posting link was that you be aware of pitfall of "loss of service" during changeover of region, should you register with US Marketplace and then wish to revert to home region at later time.

btw, if i revert my region/timezone under SETTINGS tab (and input philippines as my region again), would the xbox live tile be gone?

Hi Gcdc,

It may do if the Xbox live gaming service is not available in the Phillipines. I would just leave it unless you see that someone REALLY has xbox live service working in the Phillipines region.
