My phone is 701 and sw ver is now 111.030.0609

http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/device-software-update shows that the latest software release for Nokia 701 is 112.010.1404 (FP1) but Nokia Suite and Phone - Settings - 

check updates tells that there are  no updates available....

could you please let me know what is your product code? You can find the product code information via typing in *#0000# on the dial screen.

John, if I were you I'd hold off on updating to FP1 until Nokia can work out some of the bugs. Once you update, you can never go back.

After I updated my 701 I have experienced the following problems:

- wifi no longer is able to maintain a connection

- phone freezes/restarts frequently now

- certain apps no longer work (fasttube, google maps, xplore)

- status bar disappears for certain apps and is replaced by bizarre symbols

xplore, google maps no longer working on my fp1. But i got my music player which can edit mp3 tags now

I bought the phone in Taiwan, so something specific to Taiwan might be the hold up, but Nokia Taiwan's web site has been telling customers to download  v112.010.1404 for a month now.

I presume that they wouldn't have done that if it wasn't ready, or is that being naive?
