Hi, can anyone help me with this? I updated my 5800 with new fw and after full reset and even after cleaning my MMC there is no new Ovi maps in new firmware? What could be problem?

What OVI Maps do you have now ?

That is the problem, I expected that new maps would be imbeded with new firmware, but they are not. I can update it over SU application, but that takes 10mb of space, what I don't want.

So new 3.06 maps are not in new fw as changelog said?

The new maps will overwrite the current version.

What changelog ?

Changelog of update, new browser, new maps.... I for shure didn't get new maps with update (60.0.003). So either they are not in new update or I did something wrong?

The Maps v3.06 should have been as per this ...

But they are not in new update for 5800, because I didn't get them. Maybe I'm doing something wrong in update process  but I doubt that.

Based on this no one has got the 3.6 maps pre-installed in the update. Maybe it will be provided with the full FW update when it becomes available via PC.

Thats just bcoz u updated your version

with a file that was around 7mb only basics feaure are updated

not OVi maps 3.06 that has 11mb file size

My suggestion to u would be try reinstalling the phone software through Nokia suite or Ovi suite

that would surely help

and u will be able to find the changelog described

the maps weren't a part of the v60.0.003 update itself, it is in the software updater however

i've updated to v60, and when i rotate phone the homescreen turns landscape, but its so **bleep**, please fix this.
must say- the new browser is very good, seems solid.
i was expecting anna icons, c6 dialer & hs, emoticons.
wonder why it took so long?

New Anna browser, there should be new Ovi Maps 3.06 but they are not available over FOTA  update, swipe to unlock and performance improvements.

The 5800 will never ever get Symbian Anna, I cannot understand where this stupid myth originated from ? Try updating via OVI Suite, but you won't get much more than what you already have.

To be honest. I don't think the 5800 will get no updates anymore.

The maps "problem" isn't a problem. Installed it via "SW-update" See the screenshots " Kaarten" is OVI maps.

If Maps was in the fw 1. you would have less memory. 2nd. You would not be able to upgrade, only through a new flash. I had Maps 3.04 flashed into cfw and I didn't liked it.
