Hi all
I was so happy when the Belle update came out, all the new widgets....woooo
Then all of a sudden the social app and the new social widgets just stopped refreshing/loading, I click on any widget (twitter, facebook or the new feed) and it starts to load (welcome to social screen appears) then it just goes back to the phone menu/homescreen
Please help......this is an amazing app.....I dont understand why it has stopped working, I have tried uninstalling it all and then reinstalling it, still no joy.

I have the same problem with the Social widget as the original poster: It starts, I see "Welcome to Social", then after a second or so it just closes and returns to the homescreen.
Same thing with the YLE Areena -widget.
Extremely annoying, as I've enjoyed the Social app a lot...

Hi all
I am still having this problem (see first post) and have not been given any type of solution, I noticed today that the Nokia Social app has disappeared from the Store (is this intentional). Furthermore, in the SW updates on my phone the app just updated to 1.5 (215) and yet I still have the same problem.
Other people seem to be able to use the app without this problem, so I was wondering if it is more to do with my phone/setup etc rather than the app itself. Although the reply from Nokia on this thread hints that it may be a common issue that is being looked at? - Any news on that FAQ?
Someone has mentioned checking the time is right (not sure what that entails or whether it even works). Others have mentioned the problem is about connection, I was wondering if it something to do with my internet settings (some have a gateway error - I do not get any message though). Or is there some sort of Cache that is accumulating info that I must delete to continue?
Please provide a solution to this issue as I am seriously missing this app (and the lovely new widgets)

I am also having problems with the social app. When I try to open it it says 'Network not availble. Please try again later'. I have tried a soft reset, hard reset, reinstalling belle and also uninstalling and reinstalling the app but so far nothing has worked.

Any update on this?
Having done a "three finger reset", I've been advised by Noka "care", that they don't know what the problem is, but I should travel to my nearest Noka centre (50 miles away) to have my phone flashed (which I will probably have to pay for)!

No solution has been provided as yet.
Flashing your phone is not an acceptable solution for an app issue IMO, surely Nokia can up with something better than that.
I have heard many have had this issue, some from December last year!! and yet still nothing has been resolved. Its a shame really because many people are turning away from the social app and going for other apps (fmobi, facinate, gravity) and this will mean less people want the social app the longer we wait for a solution.
Im not giving up yet though, I have the issue logged with Nokia Care at the moment and will lurk these forums for a while yet. Thats how much I like this app (and the widgets).
Please sort this issue out soon Nokia, I really like the app and am determined not to get other social apps yet.

After a week of emailing Nokia support back and forth with none of the solutions working they have advised to me to take my phone to a care point. Surely there must be some fix that they can issue?!
Just wondering if this problem only happens with phones on the 3 UK network?

Not sure if these are somehow related, but also the new Belle email widget has issues... The widget won't show any new mail and the phone doesn't alert for any new mail. The mailbox still works, but I have to check my mail manually each time.
Please, please solve these issues... they cripple a fine sw-update! Extremely frustrating and annoying.

So far not had any problems with vlingo or the email app, also im on 02 so it cant just be the 3 network.
Keep posting though, hopefully it will give Nokia some valuable feedback on what the problem is.

Hi all,
first time I update to belle I have also update my socials too, and they stop working. I tried again because I think I have made a a mistake but didn't update my social, just install Belle on my c7 and they work, I believe that the problem is into this social 1.5.215 update that comes after installing Belle.

after installing social 1.5 most of my most of my widgets are not working, memory info, ram info and others. social 1.5 widget also not working as well as the programs itself.
pls. solve the problem and test it before releasing to public. tsk tsk.

I have a nokia e6 and still cant see an update for the social app. i'm still on version 1.3....was the update pulled from the ovi store??
