I guess people are just annoyed that a piece so brilliant has been uncooked and spoilt. To be honest, considering the amount of competition, and now with the growing additional aspect of having android in the picture, I think companies should try and make their users loyal to them and not alienate them.
Take my case for example. I have been using the E61. when I first went in for the phone, I thought great. Good hardware upgrade, should be a good software upgrade as well. Plus with the large symbian application base it should be easy to continue what I need. Not to mention a 3.2MP camera.
So far, I've had to return my phone for another piece (will be delivered this week or so) as one of the main problems I got was Camera: Feature not supported.
The keyboard is tinier so people sometimes tend to stumble, this ofcourse was a choice I was ready to live with since you can see the piece before you buy it, along with a tinier screen.
In a day where people tend to make larger screen displays, we are going backwards to a smaller screen display trying to catch up to the blackberry design.
Personally I think nokia is trying to do this because of the blackberry market, but honestly, they really should look at alternative vendors who can be bigger threat in the long run.
The question of whether or not its a business phone is actually secondary. The main point is, if your 2mp camera can get X quality pictures, why is your 3.2mp camera getting lower quality?
Another thing, did anyone actually try the business card reader? I havent got it to read a single darn card. Whereas my brothers old P990i used to read them. If once again its targetted to the business user, this should have been tested better.
The last time I got in touch with nokia, they just said thats the way it is. And when there is an update I can try again. I dont want to have to sell this phone to buy it later. I trust nokia, and therefore expect them to live upto that standard.
One thing I didnt understand is why they didnt put in the accelerometer in the E71 as well. Isnt the idea to blow the competition away? OR just copy them?
I am hopeful nokia will fix this soon, and perhaps update the software with something which works.
