Havn't updated to belle yet, i've read about the 'side-effects' of the update. Please suggest!

Hi, after waitin for belle since ages its finally here, but ive read tha folks who've did the update are experiencing issues with the lost apps and storage space on mass memory. I havn't did the update yet so please suggest that what should i do to get rid of that, like what lesson should we take??

one thing wich i wud say is that, the belle update has made my phone (c6-01) slow, esp. the transition effects.. also, to mention, the search feature in the menu lags so much before it's opened...kindly post if sumone has got a solution for this..
