Hi all,
I am using Nokia 7610 Model.
But after every 6 months,I have to Update Nokia 7610 software(due to Loud SPeaker on,Sound is reduceIntensity and so on..) from Nokia Service center.
And thats why i have to submit my set for 4 days in service Center.
I dont have any back up set.
so i wants to update this time myself.
Can anybody guide me.
How to update Nokia 7610 Software myself?
My current software version is:
V 7.0642.0
18-10-06
RH-51

people can not update 7610 only with the USB-cable in home,u need some quipments

I have USB cable and Personal computer.
Is it possible to Update myself.
I am staying at Kolkata in India.
I don’t want to submit my set in Service center again.
They will keep it for 4 days. After 6 months again..
I am fed up with this Set.

u CAN NOT update your 7610 only with USB-cable and ur pc.it's necessary to update it with a special machine.In China,there're many places that u can update you phone with paying money.i think u can find such places in ur city or continued contacting the service center.

I am also facing the same problem. My set i.e Nokia 7610 is functioning terrifically slow. Please some one guide me how can I update my phone oftware, I am havin datacable, Pc with fast internet connectivity.

As this is as very very old thread  I am not sure what you are asking .

If its now like that then its almost certain user files and apps firmware wont fix that .

Have you checked your product code to see if their is a firmware update   .

I believe there is nothing you can do about this as Nokia Care centres no longer have the equipment to update the older devices. The same goes for the availability of hardware and the official Nokia programs to update the firmware of such devices. You're out of luck, unfortunately.
