While updaing the nokia 6300 firmware version to 7.00 from 5.00, the mobile got disconnected. Now it is totally dead, and neither it is picked up by the pc nor it is responding to the charger. How to revive it?

Looks like your next step would be to take your phone to an authorized nokia service center. regards

Just Try to connect the phone using nsu. somtimes, the phone may be picked up by nsu and the update may start or the reinstall may be initiated.

just give a try. i was lucky enough to get a 5610 connceted this way when the battery went off during update.

Don't turn off the software updater. The software updater will inform you that the phone has been disconnected. It will also tell you what to do to recover your phone.

Remove the battery and the USB cable. Then follow this instruction in order

1. Insert the USB cable in your phone and PC.

2. Insert the battery.

3. Press the power button of your phone for 1 second.

4. Then press next in the software updater.

The software updater will continue updating your phone software. It will also automatically turn on your phone.

If following the suggestions there do not work.. then you will need to take the phone to Nokia Care...

When I update my nokia e63 phone then by mistake i disconnect the cable. After that I open battery and again after switch on the phone I try to update but failed. Please give me the procedure so that I can update my phone

I am trying to update the software on my E66 using OVI suite but I keep getting an error during the install phase. The following error and instructions are displayed in the OVI suite window but makes no difference when I follow these instructions (just end up back with the same error).

"Nokia Ovi Suite has lost connection with your device. Follow these steps to help reconnect your device:

1. Remove USB cable from your device.
2. Restart the device (turn off and on again).
3. Re-insert the USB cable.
4. Click 'Ok' below to continue updating."

current E66 software version is 410.21.010
I am trying to update to E5 software v. 510.21.009

any ideas?

Go to nearby Nokia Care. They will put flash.

friends whenever this problem occurs just relax...beacause nothing has happened to your phone.the problem is that the updation remains incomplete and people think their mobile is dead.just follow the given steps.

if your mobile is dead Use NSU(Nokia Software updater) and start update if your mobile  is dead or not updated. 

1.take off your battery and insert your usb with mobile and pc 

2.secondly ,fastly put back your battery in and press on key for just a second.

3.the phone will not switch on instantly just a flash will appear for one second.

4. now just retry updating your mobile using NSU ,it will take time so you need to just calm down.

5 it can take 10-15 mins more to update in your dead phone.just let the updation going on and do not disconnect your phone.

after some time your phone will automatically switch on .

at least this worked for me because i also got panicked,but just relax and let the software do its update.

if still in case your phone doesnt starts the nokia care are there to help you.

Unfortunately most users will keep power button depressed for too long so it won't go into correct mode.
