I've just connected my N70 to the NSU and it detected the new software and installed it for me.
I checked first thing this morning and the update wasn't available so maybe it's just been added.

The newest FW, v5.0705.3.0.1, is available on NSU. Minor release though. No major updates, phone seems a little faster.
Previous phones: 3330, 3410, 3510i, 3200, 6230, Nokia N70, Nokia N73, Nokia N82, Nokia 5500 Sport & Nokia N97

Nope. I have modified my phone to be HK version (to include english, traditional chinese and simplified chinese)

I updated my N70 to this new firmware.
I can attest that it's a little bit faster now in accessing/opening menu and apps. But just a little bit. But an improvement nonetheless.
The trouble is it took about 1 hour and 40 minutes to download the upgrade. But the updating took only a few minutes.
Observations:
1. The internal memory was reduced to 19MB from 21MB.
2. Faster access to menu and other applications (just a little bit faster)

i´ve justu upgrade to this firmware release, the great improvment, is more fast acessing menu...

I didn't understand your question.
If you're asking whether a new firmware is available to your phone, just connect your phone to Nokia Software Updater and it will tell you whether the update is available to your region.
I noticed also that when I restore my back-up after the update. All java games installed before the update did not run. I had to re-install them again.

Do you have a "branded"-phone, i.e. Vodafone or T-Mobile?
If so: maybe this new firmware hasn't been approved by your operator yet, so you've to wait a little bit longer . . . :-(
