First of all, congratulation Nokia to let an employee become active on this forum! Because the idea was all wrong to have a user-to-user forum hosted on a nokia domain. Actually, a Nokia employee should have higher "post count" than others. But hey, after so many years, it's good to have you here.
Back to the firmware: Again a new minor fix. The obvious problem here is the QWERTY keyboard. Why can't Nokia employees prioritize the importance of things well? They never could. It's ready, you know it, we know it (as C7), so publish it. Why hold it back? Don't need the whole browser and keyboard and UI at once, just give each part separate when they are ready and people like me will be way happier than waiting 8 months (until summer) to get what should be already on the phones when we first got it.

Currently updating my phone now (I'm in Saudi Arabia) via Nokia Ovi Suite
N8 software, v. 014.002
- Improved features and performance
- Updated applications
- Better Stability
Update is approximately 165 MB. I did not do a back-up so I'm crossing my fingers now.
I hope it solve some of my problems.
Finished updating. My old problem still exist (stuck on scanning memory when opening "Installed apps"). Didn't lose any data. Still slow when opening folder for my "games" which causes me to accidentaly open another apps.
By the way whose summer would the PR 2.0 be released? ![]()

I'm on Tesco mobile, i flashed my phone a few months ago and got the Pr 1.1 update pretty quickly here in the UK. I've just done *#0000# to see if Pr1.2 is in, and it is!
It's showing it to be 906kB in size. Nothing showing via the Ovi Suite though.
Forgot to mention, i'm using the Nokia N8.

Hi everyone,
This message is intended for employees of Nokia.
It would be interesting to include in the update PR2.0, a program to free RAM memory of the Nokia N8. A widget to view the RAM, CPU frequency and temperature of the phone.
Swype also add programs, Nokia Bubbles, and Bots Nokia Nokia Panorama.
A greeting.

On the 14th March, the PR1.1 thread spreadsheet said the PR1.1 release for my Three UK C7 (059D188) was 2 days away. It never arrived.
I take it that PR1.1 is now permanently scrapped for my phone and I have to wait for PR1.2 passing Nokia's release dept and Three's approval? This is tediously frustrating to wait months for an update and then have the firmware upgrade yanked days before the next version and be waiting again.
If PR2.0 is due soon also, will I be waiting months for PR1.2 only to have that yanked days before PR2.0 also?

Unfortunately, 3 are notorious for not bothering to approve updates. Maybe they won't approve any of the minor updates and just wait for the PR 2.0 firmware to arrive.

@Akuma07. Just a few posts above yours, one of your fellow countrymen by the name of caspers2011 states that he has received the PR1.2 update on Vodafone Australia and it includes all the PR1.1 upates aswell.
All the best.

I have a Nokia C7 Silver brand Vodafone Italia (059D497) and I haven't received PR 1.1 yet but in the list it was in the state: "Ready & will be published in 2 days".

Got PR1.2, Push Mail works but it takes several minutes to deliver the mail. Just did two test mails, so no real testing. Product Code is 0599913, Operator is 3 Austria but the mobile is bought from amazon, SW is 014.002. No other changes visible and no big improvements in performance.
Hoping that PR2.0 will come soon...
