i wanna ask t0 the n0kia staff / m0ds is it true n97 mini g0nna release new firmware so0n ?

N-Series:
N97 (Firmware PR3 - 3x.x.x or later)
N97 mini (Firmware PR2 - 2x.x.x or later)

I don't know if an update is available via FOTA, but there is certainly no V2x for N97 mini available through NSU/OVI Suite. Similarly, there is no V3x for the N97.

thanks for letting us know about the update... do you have any details on what may be included in the PR2.0 update for n97 mini? Also will all product codes be getting the update at the same time? I have a US variant and typically we get it months after our european/asia counterparts. So i'm hoping you guys release the US variant close to the same time as the rest of the world. Thanks!

Could someone enlight us with which features or fixes this update will contain? Will it be in line with some Symbian 3 Updates?

who knows what be added into new firmware (?) but I'll not really be surprised when nokia's staff will not add nothing major on new FW.

Great news!

Just recently bought N97 mini and in my opinion it really needs PR2 SW update.

It had frozen on me few times and once critically when it jammed on the morning wake up alarm, without alarming... Only noticing for Stop / Snooze and not responding on anything. It kept freezing with the same alarm for three "battery resets". Half an hour later managed to bypass the jam in taxi for the train... Now I am back with my good old N86 until my N97 mini gets this update.

Other than that, generally N97 mini (navi) has served me well, especially with the recently updated Maps that has map and voice updates over wifi. Mechanical quality is really high and it deserves good SW too.

I really hope this PR2 SW to deliver
