2010-06-04 13:36
Hallo,
anyone from Nokia is able to answer what is going on with v 3.0
I know that You from Nokia have no time for N97 users but - You should think ahead.
So go to work at new firmware...

Some of you guys are seriously lacking reading comprehension skills.
It has been mentioned several times in this thread and others that the reported availability of V30. was an error with the database/server.

well, that's too bad for Nokia. The new iPhone will come out on Monday and I am assuming a lot of frustrated N97 users are going to switch, especially with the N8 launch date being in the fall. and who knows how good or bad the N8 will be.
After the N97 desaster I remain skeptical. Nokia has been there for years, is still the market leeader, but other companies have been able to develop stunning and WORKING smart phones that provide much better smartphone experiences than the current Nokia smartphones.
Only 3 years ago there weren't any iPhones or Androids, yet Apple and Google seem to have figured it out, whereas the market leader Nokia was dormant like an arrogant monopolist.
I am really disappointed.

U disappointed a lot of people and u gotta act quick before losing more... Imagine wat I might tell my friends and my friends telling their friends....
U gotta pay back quick.. Thanks

However, I do not know, I feel ripped through Nokia.
I even think Nokia ripped the whole world and ripp the world further.
Nokia admits that N9 was a failure but sell further the N97 for about 400 €.
400 € is a lot of money for a scrap device as Nokia N97.
For each advertising Measures Nokia sends an SMS message or e-mail, but not for an apology.
It would be enough if they would say, "Sorry for the inconvenience, we're working hard to regain it very soon."
Instead of repairing the errors of sold devices, Nokia is working on new scrap equipment. (see x-series or n900)
I would have expected from a reputable company,
1. immediately set off the sale of Nokia N97 and
2. the ones who had bought the unit, offer an exchange.
But not the same has happened.
I bought the scrap N9 for 600 € because Nokia and their paid journalists, the device had cheered as high. In reality, it is a fiasco.
I will never buy a machine from Nokia. This is not the first faul Device of Nokia.
There are other good devices now on the market (X10, HTC HD2, Dell Streak etc.) and come out the next super devices like HTC HD3. Nokia can plug in his scrap elsewhere.
That with the firmware 30. , I consider again a joke. What was the last firmware on all of us who had waited so eagerly? A flop.
NO NOKIA , NO CRY .
PS: The admin has deleted my other message.
Apart from the fact that Nokia can not build useful devices, Nokia can tolerate no criticism.
Too bad, because criticism could help to improve.
Nokia, make further so. Your competitor Iphone, Android Windows Phone are very happy.

Problem is that you fail to make any constructive observations to Nokia .
All you are doing is having a whinge to your fellow phone users .
If dissatisfied customers actually do something like write a letter to Nokia then its in their face and on somebody desk .

@jjegan
I think criticism is very much present in the network.
Nokia needs to look only and you do not need to protect so eager Nokia!
Are you satisfied with your Nokia for 600 €?
I do not!

Nokia: You have stold me more than 400€ with your n97.
This phone looked good but the truth is that his software sucks. You have admited it, so please SOLVE it, the software is bugy and doesn't work as showed in your lying promotional videos.
The hardware isn't better either. The hardward is OBSOLETE, the same that n95 had. The RAM memory is very Tiny and doesn't allow the multitasking (If I open a browser and a game for examen, the ram memory fulls up and the OS close any aplication to free memory, it doesn't care about what you're doing).
I hope you could SOLVE the problem and realease the symbian^3 under N97, there are many customers as my very disapointed of your bad quality in your last phones.
