@ Arucard - No but a lot of people will be picking up the new iPhone or one of the plethora of great Android devices before the N8 comes out and once they invest in accessories and apps for these devices it will take a lot to convince them to move back. I'm just not sure the N8 has enough to lure people back to Nokia when it's an interim device to keep Nokia going until the release of S^4 devices and after the terrible user experiences that people have had with Nokia devices like the N97.

Jokes aside you're absolutely correct and I'd have an iPhone 4 in my hot little hands today if it wasn't for the ATT exclusivity contract stopping the sale of unlocked devices in the US and the fact that I'm heading back to Australia in six months

@Froschy: You said it! This is exactly what's going on. It will be hard to convince people to go back to Nokia. Like it took 3 years for Apple to convince me to switch to the iPhone and break up my 17 year relationship with Nokia. My experience with the N97 was horrible. My N95 was the last excellent Nokia phone I had

I think this thread goes abit out topic already, talking about Iphone lol , lets hope for the best for the firmware to bring our phone to a greater level , because we already bought it , unless you wanna sell it off , I am not as I am still under contract.

i read that nokia will release a version of MeeGo on 30th june for "Chosen" models, hope that this will be our next update

@ Arucard - thanks to the silence coming from Nokia in relation to the v30 firmware for the N97, it leaves us with nothing better to discuss than the iPhone. lol

@ zoro06 - my understanding of the MeeGo release is that it's just an alpha software release for developers and although it may be able to be installed on the N900 we won't see it on any other handsets until the release of dedicated devices.

I  do not understand that what we are hoping here for ? Man, forget N97. Forget the money. Just consider it we gave it for charity and  got a candy in response (N97).

If i am not wrong, Nokia is doing all these stuff intentionaly to keep its product alive. You know what,  on Beta App  page,  whatever people request for new features on MAP Product, they didn't listen. They only listen what they wanted to. They want to spare theri testing cost and we are so stupid people that working for them without any pay. Wasting our time and money.

Be content what you got. and Stop posting so that NOKIA shold realise that we have really looose our faith in his products and we are no more concerned. Crying for help, begging...man i am hating all these stuff. We are not the beggers. We bought it. We spend the money. Live with pride not all the time asking for help. If they  do it, its their duty, otherwise move forward.

@ herzlich - I will be moving on and I plan to do that with an iPhone 4 but due to circumstances out of my control it looks like I won't be able to do this until I get back to Australia in Jan 2011. Until that time I expect Nokia to work to make the N97 usable and I will continue posting to the Nokia discussions board to make sure that anyone thinking about buying the N97 or N97 mini are fully informed as to how terrible a device it is.

Because N97 do not have enought RAM to run screen saver and it's CPU is too weak to spin some polygons on the screen...
