Hey,

 

we are rolling out a new SW update for Asha 205 (RM-863 & RM-864) and Asha 205 Dual SIM (RM-862):  v. 3.19. This is a minor update and for many user it might be actually the sales start software. However there is also small a portition of users with 3.18 SW version. This update is available to them.  

 

Key changes compared to previous 3.18 SW version:

 

* Fix for displaying contact name in phone calls and SMS inbox
* Performance and usability improvements
 

Note that this device model does have USB-connector, so updating it with Nokia Suite is not possible. The only end-user update method is via FOTA. Find the instructions from here: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/belle-asha-symbian-software-update/

Firmware update is not supported by bluetooth and no usb port is available in set then how i update it.

I have tried to update my Asha 205 using the FOTA but it keeps telling me " Updating cancelled by server". What's the way forward?

Use Nokia Suite on your PC to update the software of your Nokia Asha 205. Download Nokia Suite here. For guidance on how to perform the software update you may see this link.

nokia asha 205 is not updating, it downloads the update and trys to install after the phone restarts but stops installation and write unable to install.

make sure your device time & date settings are correct - that could be one cause for this error message.

I had the same problem (Unable to install software). Removing the SD card solved it.
