Hey, just updated to the new sw version 14.92 and after installing it the internet keeps reconnecting itself even when the phone is on stand-by and no applications running in the background. Could you help me sort it out?

will there be any more software updates for nokia asha 302 ? because people are still facing problems with their phones. Nokia considers asha phones as smartphones then why there is no application of skype for asha 302 ?

true, there's no Skype on any of Nokia's Series 40 phones at the moment. Asha 302 is one of the few of these Asha models which supports VoIP though - through the embedded "internet call" option. This is a really underpromoted feature and I'm sure many users don't know it's even included in the phone. 

as far as future SW updates goes - can't comment this, sorry. Time will tell. But could you point out what sort of issues you have possibly seen with the device after 14.92 SW update?

this is a Telenor Hungary operator variant. Most likely your operator has not approved the 14.92 at least yet. 14.78 is the latest available SW version for your product code.

Problems facing after software update 14.92 are as follows : 1. WLAN connectivity is still not up to the mark. WLAN connections with similar names are not properly read by the device. Weak WLAN connections do not connect. Often ‘WLAN connection Failed’ error is displayed. If wlan is searched and connected after opening xpress browser then wlan connections get saved with wrong password. WLAN connectivity for asha 302 is not that good as compared to nokia c3. (my other phone) 2. After signing in to Nokia mail, when you click on anything in the options menu, it displays an error “Application Error”. Please update Nokia Mail. Thanks a lot. Error Details : java/lang/illegalstate/Extensions. 3. Temp. Bluetooth visible option is available only in the shortcuts, there is no such option in the bluetooth menu. Please Add it to Bluetooth menu as well. 4. Nokia xpress browser displays all the previous search topics on google website even after clearing all the passwords, cookies, personal data & history. 5. Camera shows yellow tint & does not have clarity as compared to asha 200. 6. There is no 4-way navigation in music player as compared to Nokia X1 or X2. 7. No Ovi maps, No internet radio, & No skype for asha 302. Why ? 8. Nokia categorizes asha series phones as smartphones, then it should add skype to them. 9. Whenever ovi store app is opened, everytime it asks for nokia account password, even after changing the sign-in option to automatic. Please fix this problem. 10. Nokia Social app has automatic save password option for facebook but no such option for twitter. Why ? Please add auto save password option for twitter as well. 11. In Nokia asha 302 Viber app takes 1 minute 30 seconds to open and works very very slow. After any photo message sent to any viber user, that particular photo’s multiple copies (4 to 5) gets saved in gallery of the device. All the display pictures of viber users also get saved in gallery of the device, in the folder of ‘Images’ then ‘Viber’. Please update viber for asha 302. 12. ‘Mark/Mark All’ option is available everywhere, except ‘Inbox/Conversations’ where it is needed the most. Please add ‘Mark/Mark All’ option in ‘Inbox/Conversations’. I hope all these issues will be addressed as soon as possible. Hope to see few more software updates for Nokia Asha 302.

I tested it myself a while back on Asha 311 and seemed pretty good.

I tried the soundtracker app from Nokia betalabs in my asha 302. It is not working properly. Everytime i select any station, after loading for a while it displays an error "Sounds Not Allowed". Nokia always cuts down 3 to 5 apps. In Nokia Asha 302 : Ovi Maps, Internet Radio & Skype. My Nokia c3 (Old Phone) also didnt have Ovi Maps & Internet Radio. I seriously get disappointed by Nokia everytime, Now i will not make the mistake again. i have learnt my lesson. Thanks alot for wasting my time & money.

Here are all matters I faced during use of Nokia Asha 302 - v14.92 Software

> After sending or receiving media (as picture, video,..) on Whatsapp, if I receive or send media again; then phone restarts the display interface of phone (Like, you remove explorer.exe on Windows and run again by taskmanager) I guess this is because of the RAM insufficiency
> Via WiFi, YouTube videos freezes at %60 buffering (Via operator's internet, it's OK)
> Sometimes internet connection be cut eventhough Whatsapp is online on the background (Later it shows how much money I have, how many megabytes I have in the internet pack, like)
> During surf on Opera Mini (v7.1) internet connection often stops, pages don't load at all
> On Facebook of Social, it's impossible to see the notifications
> Eventhough full time mail notifications & automatic receiving are active, Mail program rarely notifies the new mail
> Nokia Browser (Or with new name: Nokia Xpress) still doesn't have tab system (Though new 2.3.0.0.48 version)
> There is no option for keyboard lighting
> Via 3G operator, internet call isn't working at all (Via WiFi, it'S OK)
> Internetcall via Friendcaller, doesn't work except calling. Voice doesn't come and go during talk
> Though I disable the "Help text activation" option, after I turn off and turn on the phone, it be enabled back by itself
> WiFi signal receiving is pretty bad, only when phone is beside all fine WiFi model; signal is full. With one meter distance, it falls down about fifty-fifty
> WiFi speed is pretty slow on surfing and downloading with even fiber internet, not higher than 2 megabits although WiFi speed is 7,2 Mbps of Asha 302
> Sometimes music's actual time is different than showing on media player. This occurs by changing second/minute of music by left & right push buttons
> When Facebook is added on the homescreen, if keys be locked; Facebook logs off, with unlocking the keys, Facebook logs in back. Not staying online

I hope those problems get fixed with the next update, thanks from now!

Hi everyone when will be the update available in the philipines im waiting because the software update 14.78 is not good the browser is stucking when you open the browser, and the java browser that i used is not functioning well, pls nokia give update in the philipines because the speed of phone ui is lessen and i noticed hard connecting in network, my software 14.78 browser version is 2.23
