Hey,

A new SW update for Asha 305 (RM-766) has been published: version 5.92.The update should be already available for most customers both via Nokia Suite and FOTA.

Key changes compared to the previous 3.60 SW version:

•  Improvements to the display brightness and touch screen performance

•  improvements to device memory management

•  Video streaming support added

•  A warning is now given when the volume is too loud

•  Timezone fix for Taipei

•  General performance and usability improvements

Unfortunately Whatsapp is not currently available for any of Nokia's dual SIM-phones, including Asha 305. (list of currently supported Series 40 phones can be seen from here: http://whatsapp.com/s40).

Manual display brightness control option is included,  but there is no copy-paste.

Am not seeing any option to shut down camera sound in my phone. any solution? any updates for it plzzzz nokia..

Thn things tat i mis is:-" wen i select contact to send msg, after selecting i have to give to back button to get okay lik button in display to finish contact selecting procedure."

if you post your product code (it's the 7 digit number printed on the device label sticker, starting with 059****) I can check if the behaviour is intentional. But it's possible the option to disable the camera sound has been removed due to e.g. local legistlation on a given country  - some countries have stricter policies about this type of matters.

I tested 2 different SW variants. One was using the product code you gave (India country variant) - option to turn off camera sounds is indeed missing. However on the other variant I looked at (it was one of the European variants) the option was there as you can see from this screen capture: http://imgur.com/sYlzw

I will contact some relevant folks at the Nokia end and try to the reason for this.

there is no immediate solution available. The option would appear to be indeed removed from India (and some other countries as well) SW variant for legal reasons - to make it harder to take "spy photos". But we are creating a report of this issue in any case as I'd personally want to learn the exact list of affected countries.

Currently, there is no update yet as to when the next update will be available. The availability of software updates depends on many factors such as product code, region and operator.
