The FOTA update packages for this 5.92 update are now also finally being rolled out. APAC and MEA regions should have received the FOTA update already today and Europe should follow next.

The Wi-Fi problems are being looked at, but so far we have not managed to reproduce the issues.

2 days has passed, but still there are no updates available for my Asha 311 with 3.81 FW.
I want to know, how to get an update, which, I hope, contains fixes for various bugs and design flaws.

what is mean by "Improvements to application data connections" in new version software 5.92

"improvements to application data connections" basically refers to couple of fixes how the data connections are managed in the device. There was for example previously an issue that when an application was put into background (few apps support that) or brought back to foreground, the data connection may have been in some cases cut off. it's sometimes a bit problematic how to state such fixes in a simple and still somewhat understandable way.

FYI for everyone else, I'm trying to pass forward the feedback about the missing display brightness control and copy/paste features.

are you trying to update via Nokia Suite or FOTA? What is your product code? Check the 7-letter code that is printed in the label sticker of your device (above IMEI number) when you remove the device battery.

based on my understanding the option to disable the camera sound is not available in some countries to legal reasons. In some country variants that option may be available, but I can check that later in more detail if needed.

Tried to update Nokia Asha 311 using PC Suit 3.5.34 however its repeatedly reverting error message as below:

"There is a problem with installing software to your phone. For more details and advice, go to Nokia's online support
Error code: 12052"

request you to please revert on this issue as soon as possible.

As far as I could check, regional/country restrictions are not the reason. My phone has passed IMEI check on nokia.com  and FW version mentioned as the lastest on my country's nokia site is 3.90.

Just in case, my carrier is Mobile TeleSystems (MTS).

Even with v5.92 ,i'm still facing 'out of memory' issues with third party apps.but there's no such problem with the system apps.

During version 3.82 I was able to browse internet through wifi ,after upgradation it is not possible and asking to switch on Mobile data.Chat & mail nothing is working.

How to install previous version??

Missing display brightness control and copy/paste features & touch screen sensitivity control. The "Select Internet connection" Pop-Up does not allow "Cancel" to be chosen. The "Angry Bird" game displays the "Select internet connection" Pop-Up( of course still with the "Cancel button disabled ) and have to press the red physical key to abort, but after exit the Internet connection Pop-Up still displays in the main menu screen and have to press red physical key again to cancel the Pop-Up. It seems that there are some major bug with the "Select Internet connection" function.

Now that we know a clear way to reproduce the problem, it should be much easier to get that fixed in the up and coming SW update/s for the device.
