There is a new software software update available for Nokia Asha 202 and Asha 203. The key changes are listed below:
Latest software release for Nokia Asha 202 (2020) and Asha 203 (2030) is version 20.36/20.37.
This update should be available as an over-the-air update for most regions, so should be able get the update either through FOTA or Nokia Suite. For Nokia Suite update instructions you can refer to this video we have published a few days ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kouiwyOvGPQ

Please note this on-going discussion at – http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Software-Updates/P
After reading the above post, I tried performing the update yet again (as I have been trying since 29/June/2012) but unfortunately, as on date (6/July/2012; 9am Indian Standard Time) the update still does not work.
Seriously hope someone at Nokia rectifies this problem and also takes into consideration the other few suggestions given in my other post (link given above) and includes them in a future update.
Sorry, forgot to add - I am using Nokia OVI Suite, Version 3.5.21 Beta and also tried the Nokia Software Update, Ver 3.0.655 to affect the update but it is not working.
I have replied to you on the other thread. I was able to succesfully update Asha 202 and Asha 203 to SW version 20.36 with Nokia Suite 3.4.49. So as I was unable to repeat the issue myself, finding the cause for your issues would require more information from your side.
I noticed that not only the ones mentioned by other members, the software update is 20.37 in OVI Suite, Isn't it suppose to be 20.36 for the 202?

The update version number for both Asha 202 and Asha 203 is either 20.36 or 20.37, depending on the region. The key changes in the update are the same nevertheless.
the update issues are being investigated.

sorry for delay in response (I was out of office during last week).
We have managed to identify and reproduce the cause for the update problem. It would seem to be affecting Asha 202 and 20.37 SW update only (the 20.37 is for SEAP region, 20.36 is for other regions). The update files at the server end need to be reuploaded. I will let you know when this is done.
I was also having troubles with the firmware update.. I downloaded the firmware through my service provider, not via nokia suite since I always get an error at the end.. I successfully installed 20.37 version on my handset but unfortunately, my Nokia Maps was gone on the Apps and Games menu.. I only updated my fimware because I have troubles regarding my Favorite contacts on my home screen.. I also made a thread regarding these issues (http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Asha-and-other-Nok
I hope that the new software update to be uploaded will resolve these issues..
i also having that problem when updating my phone version..
this phone really awesome but i was a litle bit disappointed about it..
please take a look on the problem..
The same (atifsk's)problem occured to me after updating the Nokia 202 Asha's software to version 20.36. I updated using "Downl. device sw" option in my phone. Update was successful and everything seems to be ok except that unproperly functioning keypad lock button. Waiting for the next update with fix for this.

The current status is that the broken Asha 202 / 20.37 update will be temporarily removed from distribution, as we don't have the fixed SW package available yet.
As for the "not being able to see changes" error report: it seems like there is separate problem related to updating the preinstalled applications (Nokia Browser, Nokia Store...) when the device was updated with Nokia Suite. This issue affects all the updates mentioned in this thread and it is being investigated in more detail.
