Hey,

There's a new SW update available for Nokia C2-02 and Nokiw C2-03: version 7.63. These device models are also sold as C2-06/C2-07/C2-08 on certain regions. The update is already available via Nokia Suite, FOTA update should be coming out sooner or later as well. I will post an update about the here later on.

Key changes:

• A warning is now given when the volume is too loud
• Improvements to the display brightness
• Can now unsubscribe from the Tips and Offers service
• Timezone fix for Russia and Argentina
• Fix for device camera sometimes crashing during taking photos
• General usability & performance improvements

thx for the latest software update nokia.. this ones great.... so far i dont see problems at all... please nokia add the handwriting recognation in this device.. please.. please... i`m from philippines but my phone is made in india and please include also the memory problem issue thing in this device.. hopefull some of this will be included in the future update... thank you so much...

when i'm checked for updates using my phone then i found no new software updates.

Since applying this update battery life on C2-03 is woeful. I am not a high volume user and don't use my phone for internet access or emails.

On a supposedly full charge after 1 or 2 calls (short) and texts battery drains to 1 bar. After stand by for 4 hours, with no calls or usage, drops 1 bar.

Battery life before update was great and phone functioning perfectly. Also applied previous firmware updates and these have had no impact on battery life.

How do I roll back to previous version? Please don't respond with useless advice that I've changed settings or running background apps. It's not a smart phone and have not changed anything - only the firmware. I want to roll back the firmware. How do I do it?

this 7.63 update should be now also available via FOTA.

nemes: the only way to possibly downgrade the SW is to contact a Nokia Care point. But behaviour like that sounds like a potential hardware issue (such as a faulty/worn out battery). But I will  try to check if there are any known issues regarding the device battery life in this update and whether those can be reproduced.

I updated the software to 7.63 on my c2-03. This update also not contained equiliser. So i request you to add equiliser and streaming facility in next update.

everything is fine in my c2-03 . i have only video problem and no music equiliser thats it. my all other functions are working fine.

The update, which u are providing is for c2-03,
bt when i applied it on c2-06 ,
i am facing 1 serious problem.
I lost all my contacts.
Although i had taken backup,
from my phone aswell as through nokia ovi suite.
Bt its of no use.
Its always showing the message,
the back up not support this model.
Please take backup on the same model.
I want a proper solution for this.
Pls help me.

When i updated my phone some pre installed apps cant work on my c2-02. For example the internet browser, mail, chat, calculator, communities, maps. Whats wrong?

Thank you for posting and welcome to Nokia Support Discussions! 

Try to reinstall the software of your Nokia C2-02. Using Nokia Suite click on Tools > Software update > Reinstall.

If in case you can't reinstall the software, try doing a master reset. Go to Menu > Settings > Restore factory settings > Restore All.

Note: Create a backup first before doing any kind of reset to avoid deletion of data. If prompted for a lock code, enter 12345 unless you changed it.
