Hello,

There is a new software software update available for Nokia X2-02: SW 11.79. The key changes in this software release are listed below:

• Fix for showing the name of the caller
• Correction for the Russian time zone
• Improvements to the display brightness
• A warning is now given when the volume is too loud
• Performance and usability improvements

The update is currently already available via Nokia Suite. FOTA update should follow soon.

can't update to latest version 11.79. my current version is 11.62.

ahmedshzd: there should be now update also for the MEA region and also your product code - changes are basically the same as for 11.79 update, but SW version number is 11.84. You can get the update via Nokia Suite (FOTA not yet available).

i have purchased the nokia x2-02. i am facing 2 problems. i tried all the ways suggested in nokia forum. my nokia browser is showing conflicting application show details.and i am unable to install application in memory card from nokia suit. i dont have time to go to nokia stores for solutions. please help me out.

I am currently in Afghanistan.  My X2-02 is still on v 11.57.  When I try to update, the phone Nokia Suite both say I am already on the latest sw version.  I am also unable to get to a Nokia store.  Is there another way to get my phone updated?

Hi Dragonfirerich,

There are two reasons why there may be no update for your device. One is that your device is a branded handset (e.g. Vodafone, and has their custom apps / wallpapers etc), or that it is a country variant. For a branded handset, Nokia releases the firmware to them and it is up to the carrier to decide whether or not they will work on and release the update to the users. If you believe your handset is branded, your best point of call is to contact them and ask them about the availability of the update and possible timeframes. If your phone is a country variant (where your region's Nokia adds their own country requirements / custom apps), then again it is up to your Nokia whether to release the update or not. Please contact your local Nokia Care point and ask them about the availability of the update.

sir i have x2-02 i have 3 problems occurred in this mobile 
1.itdoes not play YouTube videos .
2.watch flash player is suiable for this to be installed and how could be it done.
3.when i power off my mobile.and after few minutes when i power on my mobile then the sms send my friends during switching off mobile does not show exact time.it shows the time when mobile is power on.
pls sir solve my problems.

My x2 has a small broken white box in the background and when I get confirmations it has a little box with a ? mark in it.
