Nokia 5130 XpressMusic / Nokia 5130c-2

I was updating my firmware for my Nokia 5130 through PC, suddenly my house blacked-out and my PC was shut down. The update was in progress, and now my phone is unable to switch on. Any quick solution for me to try before I send to Nokia Center for repair?

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately no. The phone does not support user formatting built in, and you need specific hardware for that, so you really have to take it to a care center.

Please refer to this page, it includes steps on restarting the update process after a failed one.

 

Recovering from a failed firmware update.

 

However, it does not fully guarantee success. But it did work with my N5610 before.

A hard reset would not work on an s40 phone, although the battery pull may.

i am facing same kinda issue with this mobile.

its screen goes blank after switching on my mobile. i tried using some hot keys to reboot / reset it.

but it didnot worked at all.

HIII.. I ALSO HAVE THE SAME KIND OF PROBLEM... WHEN I SWITCH ON MY 5130 MOBILE PHONE ITS DISPLY TURNS ON THEN SHOWS THE NOKIA LOGO AND THEN BECOMES DARK.. BUT I CAN CHARGE THE BL-5C BATTRY INSIDE THE PHONE IN SWITCHED OFF CONDITION... IS IT FOR VIRUS? WHAT IS THE SOLUTION OF SUCH REALLY BIG PROBLEM.. I AM NOT ABLE TO USE MY PHONE NOW.. I WILL BE THANK FULL TO GET ANS..:smileyembarrassed:
