After updating my 5800 xpress music to firmware 60.0.003 when i make or receive a phone call the sensors don´t turn off the screen light.

During a call the phone screen light is on and before the update as soon as i put the phone in my ear the screen light where instantly turned off.

Anyone with the same problem?

Any solution?

No such issues for me..

As its always good to Reset the phone after an Update.. Try a Soft Reset by dialing *#7370# followed by the Security code (Default 12345 unless changed by you) when prompted. Be warned that this will erase all data from the Phone memory. So back-up the data first. You will need to Restore the data and MAY have to re-install a few applications. This should also resolve the problem you are facing.

I´m sorry for the delay, but yes it worked.

Now when i make a call as soon as i put the phone in my ear the screen light goes off, it´s working like it´s supose to.

i m not able to update my nokia 5800 express music from my pc. In nokia suite it gives error code 12052. i always get this note while installing the software. what should i do...???

Un-install the Nokia Suite.. Download the latest Beta version from here .. and try. Hope this issue has been fixed with this version...

You will have to logon with the same credentials that you use on this Forum to download the installer...

You need to report the issue at the Beta labs site..and hopefully get a solution from them..

You may try the Nokia Software Updater.. There are reports that when Nokia Suite did not work the NSU worked..and vice versa...

I'd had the same problem, but I uninstalled all apps related to Nokia from my computer. I downloaded and installed the last Nokia Suite beta from NokiaLabs, Nokia Suite 3.3.49 Beta.
After that, i could upgraded my firm to v60 without any problems.

Can i say that it can be the effect of hard reset done to phone.
If yes then please tell what can be done now to solve this.

I don't think so. I did it before upgrade.

Try deleting all apps related to Nokia, including old drivers.
After that, install the Nokia Suite beta.

Hi,

I have quite a similar problem with the same phone. Whenever I receive a call, the touchscreen does not function, I have to answer the phone by pressing the green button. Thus I do not have the option to make the call silent. This happens both when the phone is locked (slide option) and also when it is not locked (tapping option). This happened a few days ago. I updated the phone yesterday with the latest software V 60.0.003 thought maybe this could be fixed but I still have the same problem. This also happens with the phone alarm. I cannot turn it off or put it on snooze with the slide function. A week ago I had to dismantle the phone to replace the touch screen as it was all scratched. Everything worked perfectly fine. A few days later the slide function to answer call and to turn off the alarm  stopped working.

Any help on this please?
