damn is this how nokia, handle customers concern? Leaving hanging questions? Why does they release belle if they still unprepared for customers feedback? Can someone from nokia, update us?

Nokia are not going to answer you over the weekend. There are only forum moderators here

 

SWAP - please follow Michaels instructions earlier in this post

 

3 customers - as already stated in this post, you are looking at the end of the week. We may even get a more stabe relese because of the wait. Yes, I am also on 3UK.

 

If you have to wait a bit longer for the software, you are more likely to get a stable version.

I take it e7 with product code  059h316 UK phone uk network brought from nokia direct will be missed out again!!!!!!!! had to wait ages for the anna update where this product code was forgotten about!

in respect to the UK, there are only 5 Network Operators

 

3, Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile and Orange. However there are Virtual Operators - i.e. companies that use the infrastructure of the main 5 networks. these include:-

 

Virgin Mobile use T-Mobile's network

  • Tesco Mobile use 02
  • Blyk use Orange
  • Vectone Mobile use T-Mobile
  • LycaMobile use Orange and 02, depending on certain factors
  • Talkmobile (The Carphone Warehouse) use Vodafone
  • BT Mobile use Vodafone
  • ASDA Mobile use Vodafone
  • abica use 3, Orange, and T-Mobile
  • Lebara Mobile use Vodafone's network
  • Giff Gaff use 02
  • Family Mobile (IKEA) use Tmobile

there are others, no doubt, but if you are on a virtual network, then dont expect them to release updated firmware, unless their product codes match the big guns i think.

Good job i'm on t-mobile then, which judging by the update list, has been approved by t-mobile. As stated before, had this problem with ANNA update, seemed we'd been forgotten about. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES NOKIA! I phone when my contract ends me thinks!

What about 059J220? (Sorry, I wrote 059J222 in my last post by mistake. Belle seems to be availible for 059J222 but not 059J220 yet (guess 222 = black and 220 = white german E6, right?)

for those with SWAP phones - this is a response from Michaels earlier in this post

 

 

 

For those customers who have a SWAP product code, you should not have this - when the light-swap repair was carried out by our Nokia Care point, your repaired phone should have been re-flashed to the same software variant that you had originally, and a new label created showing the IMEI and the correct code (though for N8 and E7 owners with sealed battery compartments, the label is not visible to you).

Let's make this easier, forget returning to your NCP, if you have a swap or light-swap product code and are unable to update via Nokia Suite, please contact me via e-mail at support.discussions@nokia.com quoting:

  • Your full name
  • Your contact number if you don't mind Nokia Care contacting you by phone
  • Your IMEI number (visible on the product label or by typing *#06# into the dialler)
  • Your product code (visible on the product label or by typing *#0000#into the dialler)

Myself, Skyee and Kerttu will make the necessary checks on your codes and then enlist the help of Nokia in your country to get your situation resolved.

 

Please mention this thread when e-mailing, and please do not publish your IMEI numbers in the public forum or elsewhere on the internet.
