Hi ,

I want to update software for my nokia phone C5-00  . I tried both using OVI suite and software updater but no success.  It stucks giving error message " Nokia OVI suite has lost connection with your device  ......"  , i followed subsequent instructions but no luck.

I tried un intalling and installing nokia suite , updater software, OVI suite  but no success . Can anybody suggest me how to troubleshoot this.

During software update.. the phone switches OFF and ON on its own.. When it switches OFF, it gets disconnected... so confirm whether you get this message when the phone switches OFF ? If this is the case then do not disconnect the phone but wait for a few minutes to see if it gets switched ON again and you see the Device connected message...

why cant i open my phone after updating through pc ? it prompted that i have to recover it... but still nothing happens

pls help... still my phone does not automatically open...  i even tried to the reformat codes for symbian models.... tnx if u cud help me.... god bless.

Did you try reconnecting to PC and updating / re-installing using the Nokia software Updater or the Nokia Suite ?

is your phone getting switched ON?

yes it switches on but it only vibarates... but no lights or display...

Check this .. If nothing works, the ONLY solution is to visit Nokia Care..

u should update your c5 on this number

options>check for updates

then it will automtically download updates

but you must fully charge your battery

Oh phoenix then i think the only solution is what farby said. Visit Nokia Care.

..and in absence of Display coming on as mentioned by phoenixzurc ..how are you going to do that ???

hi... still no luck on how to recover the life of my c5-00... if there are possibilities that i may try since my c5-00 is already dead... im open for such suggestions... tnx

problem solved after flashing of my c5-00 tnx to local technicians

...
