Nokia N97 firmware V21.0.045 is now available to download via Nokia Software Updater now.

The size is 133.7mb for (RM-505) models.

Anyone discovered a bug or want to share their thoughts please post here.

Greatly appreciate an unofficial changelog. 

UK people still have not received it yet which is weird..

I've just updated my N97 to v21.0.045 and right now it has just booted up and is seems to be installing something. So i'm gonna have to wait a while. Obviously under the hood changes

Ok now i've restarted the n97 and so far the kinetic scrolling doesn't seem to be improved, it is more choppy then the previous firmware. 

Note: Free Ovi Maps is not included in the firmware 

"First thing I've noticed is my RAM has gone up. 45.7Mb with nothing running except Handy Taskman. Was approx 39 with v20" from scottb721

-Auto-rotation is much more snappy

-Overall the device is faster

-Kinetic scrolling has improved in some places but other areas, kinetic scrolling has degraded

-Not much visible improvements in the music app so far as well as the video player

- Photo viewing and flicking through photos is quicker

-No visible changes in the Settings

-Applications in general load quicker

-Web browser loads pages more quicker

-Kinetic scrolling has degraded in places like the *Calender app or Settings*

-Music Application still has a bug *Playing a music and sliding out the keyboard then pressing the down button is supposed to turn down the volume but instead it restarts the music, same applies for the up button*

I think it does have VOIP, I searched VOIP in the help application and i found out there is a help manual to some voice, call, video and internet call mailbox

Nope, hard resetting messes up my system. and probably goes for most users too cos u hard reset but u also got User Data Preservation

many people say u have to reset but you actually dont need to. Even though it does make the phone faster but that is because it wipes your customized settings and restores it to the original when it first shipped

I have discovered two changes.

1st- the Nseries 2 theme has changed colour, the background is now full black

2nd-I have noticed lagging when dialing fast on the keypad

The memory on C drive decreased abit for me.

I reset phone before and after fw upgrade, I format mass memory , reset all my setting manualy , not used pctune and .....

.... first call receved after fw upgrade has nokia tune !!!!!!!

Just installed Java 2.0 didn't notice any visible change yet.
But what really makes me mad is that changed theme! I really pimped out my homescreen to look insanely well but with this brighter widgets background its really rubbish! And bacground of widgets ain't all. Also in dark theme wallpapers when you run through menus changed into pure black. Before it was kind of dark grey. Sorry but now it just don't look right... =/

MAJOR BUG!

after installing v21, my access points were gone. and further more, i couldnt reinstall them.

hence, everytime i try surfing the web, i have to research for wireless wifi. i could not find any 3G data connectivity access point.

my carrier sent me the set up sms again, it didnt work.

my MfE is now crippled. i tried to uninstall and reinstall it. that didnt help. when i get to "access point" and try to set it up, nothing happens.
