Hi everyone,

I am having severe problems with my phone. Names dont show up on text messages, its lag central, internet crashes, maps work very slow.

The software on the phone is very old starts with 20.XXXXXXX...

So I want to update the software. Have tried updating through phone, does not work. It downloads fine but during installing it will say it failed and that I will need to contact service provider. My service provider (3) told me to try and update the phone though Ovi suite, which I was doing for the whole night. Everything goes smoothly until the installation process and I will get a message saying that I something is blocking the suite from updating the software. I turn off all firewalls and virus programs and it still does not work.

No idea what to do now, my phone's warrenty has expired too and Nokia care told me it will cost 35 just to have an inspection. Dont think its justifiable as I would rather put that money and buy a brand new phone for 200.

Anyone can help?

have you tried to use a wifi point and try to update with that? after connecting to a wifi type, *#0000# and from the options select to check for new updates.

also try to install Ovi Suite to a pc/laptop that never had it before, so you can minimize possible corrupted installation from your pc.

i also have this proplem during updating 6720c & X3-00

i think that the problem is from nokia server

please if the sevice works with you , just tell me .
