In my software uploader I have an upgrade to version 014.002 but it's saying I have to use PC to upgrade and can't seem to get this to work due to USB issues. Is there another way to install this upgrade? I've tried using the device update option (*#0000#) but it saying I have no updated available.

Also, I am currently using release PR1.0, can someone tell me if a new release is available?

My network is Virgin in UK and Device Code is 059D1M2.

Any idea how i update cause can't do it through SW updater and when i dial *#0000# and check for updates it says theres now. Confused and fed up now.

Would it be possible to download files onto my PC then save them onto Memory card and upgarde that way?

Software is still PR1.0  011.012

Does anybody know when I will be able to update the firmware? PR1.1 or PR1.2?

In last xls file status, dated 120511 , appears the firmware as "in creation"

Telstra Australia 059D776 - White - PR 1.1 and PR 1.2 would be nice.  Telstra don't care about their customers, just charge more for a better network!

As a side-note....

Since the update, my phone doesn't show the callerID ... it only shows the number... but no more picture, no more name....

Any Fix?!

george, thats because you are using the sim contacts memory.
Switch the contacts to phone memory, and all will work.

Come on pls get telstra to get their variants out. For the pr.1.2.. Or are they now just skipping it till 2.0 as the due date on that release must be close.

Yes Andrew, very poor service from Telstra..Only 2 other ways to get your update.One, is to go to your nearest Nokia Care Centre. - Two,im not allowed to discuss.

belive it or not i want to keep my phone formated to telstra through fear of losing conectivity to the next G network. So for now i will be keeping my phone branded. but if telstra gets to far behind with the pr.2.0 i think ill de brand the phone.. as its not nokias fault ill stay a loyal customer.

I had to restart my phone again... now it works. I was using contacts from Phone Memory.

Even Telstra have told me to go to a Care Centre to get the phone fixed (I have a letter to prove it).  They don't know what is going on!

Great if you live in a Capital City - too bad if you live in Darwin.

so news from telstra is that pr 1.2 has been pulled by them due to an emergency call issue. they say that pr 1.2 will not be released on telstra N8's. they say that they changes will come in an upcoming update, likely to b around july.. IM guessing that they are refering to the upcoming pr m2.0 (anna).

so ill reserve my judgement of telstra till a month after the pr 2.0 update release. lets see them get this one out within a reasonable space of time.

The PR1.2 is not yet released on ovi suite/NSU here in India for C7. Only available via OTA.

Tilas, dial *#0000# on your phone, and check for updates over the air..
RE PC, Make sure you have Ovi Suite installed, and you are using the correct cable.. The usb charging cable , isnt a Data Cable..
