Hi guys

 

I am having certain issues with my Nokia N8 device, which was once bricked and the motherboard was changed by the service center. The product type is RM-596 and the product code is 059B288. Though I managed to install Symbian Anna without any troubles as soon as the update was made available, wondering with one particular annoyance!

 

I cannot see the "reinstall" option for my device after an update check using OVI Suite, when both my E7, E72 devices provide me the "reinstall" option. Could be this because of the Product Code? If yes, then how I could do a fresh firmware update on my N8?

Not clear from your post whether Symbian Anna upgrade was via FOTA or Ovi Suite, as you usually need to have installed an update via this method (Ovi Suite) previously for the re-install existing software option to be revealed.

Symbian specialist until 31/01/2013 with interests in Maemo & MeeGo but an aversion to Windows!
