Hi all,

as we already promised end of November and in addition to the December software update, we’ve just started releasing a new update for our Nokia Lumia 800 that can be installed via Zune.

The update with the version number 1600.2483.8106.11500 brings you:

• Improved battery performance

• Better Wi-Fi connectivity

• Better voicemail notification

• Local Scout improvements

Please note that the update is released gradually, which means that not everybody will get the Zune update at the same time or on the same day, but the rollout is planned to be completed within approximately two weeks . As soon as the new Lumia 800 update is available for you, your phone will automatically display a notification.

I didn't get any notification on my Phone, but plugging it into Zune last night showed there was an update available for it

I've received this firmware update and installed fine, but it announces that comes with OS 7.10.8107.79 version and after installation it still showing WP 7740 version.

It will be another WP OS update later?

Same story...no update to 8106 and the 8107 does not mention anything about battery update...am still carrying the charger everywhere..

Hi I updated my Limia with zune. It changed my OS but did not changed firmware version. How can I solve this?

I think there are two different updates: firmware and OS, and they are rolled out not at same time, so this is the reason of your issue and mine.

I have a little problem after last nights update via Zune on my Nokia Lumia 800.  The sim card is no longer recognized.  I tried turning off and on with no joy, also tried to reseat the sim card with still no joy, also tried to restore to a backup via zune, but was told that the backup file was corrupt.

  any advise would be great - afer reading a few posts on the net it seems that this update has cause a few different problem, will there be a new update to sort these issues out?

I have a strange problem,

Neither my phone nor Zune can see the new update till now!! 

In Phone: Setting -> About -> "1600.2479.7740.11451"

In Zune: Settings -> Phone -> Update -> "Your phone is up to date"

What should i do?! (How can i force the update process?)

I'm living in Germany, does this have anything to do with the updating process?! (does each country have a different rollout date?)

im in the uk and still havent had my update and have the same thing as you.

some people have got the update, other not, although there seems to be a bug with it as people have reported brightness problems after the update

anyhow, its just a waiting game now so it seems

Thanks for the update, so far the battery is a lot better, my first full charge and discharge attempt it's been almost 40 hours since my last charge, compared to the first 3 weeks I've had the phone where I would need to charge by the end of the same day with the same use or even inactivity.

Keep up the good work Nokia, next step coming back to North America (USA especially)

I've had enough! I was very positive about Lumia 800 and very fascinated by it when I got it. But this battery issue, nokia should really fix it soon. I have 07.10.08107.03. The battery does not even last a fu***** day. When will the newest update be available for Norway? It just before Nokia loses a customer.

My phone prompted me for the update last night and its been out a while already, so be patient, its doing the rounds and will get to you soon.

And it could be worse, if it was a I phone it would take them 6 months to admit there was a problem, then another 6 to fix it, then 18 months to bring out the S version so they can start f**king you over again, at least nokia saw the problem and have got on it right away, I just hope it does what is expected of it
