i have a c5-00 device which was brought 2 years back. Current software version : 062.001
As i got to know that there is a software update, i tried to do it with OVI suite. but the update was not successful. it got hung half the way.  The device was working fine after this.

Later some time i went to "Nokia Care" for updating the software, for which they said they will charging me Rs 175/- as warranty period is over.

The nokia site says the software update is free of charge. Even then why i am being asked to pay for software update?

Am i missing some information here regarding the charges?

Shall i try once again with OVI suite?

Help me on this.

hi Mr.Shivashankar... if you have net connection in ur mobile u can update ur mobile with latest version of 081.003 very easily.
if net connection hav ur mobile dial *#0000# then go to options for check for updates and select that. its very easily... try it once...
