Hello Skyee and other members of this forum,

I have been having quite a bit of trouble when it comes to software updates on my Nokia E6-00 (product code 059H136) simple because the updates just does not appear on my phone.

The apps that i know that have recently been updated are Nokia social and microsoft apps and niether of these apps are available for my phone. There was also the release of FP1 for belle but i haven't seen that either.

I don't know if i'm misinformed or what the problem might be, but i would like to know if these update are available for my phone and if so why can't I access them. Can someone please shed some light on the issue?

I can't comment on the availability of MS Apps or the Social update for the USA but I can tell you that the E6-00 won't be getting the FP1 update.

 It's probably going to be a case of playing the waiting game for the MS Apps and Social updates.

The FP1 update was aimed specifically at the Nokia 603, 700 and 701 which increased the CPU clock speeds from 1 GHz to 1.3 GHz. 

 Unfortunately the E6, along with the rest of the first generation Symbian 3 phones have an ARM11 CPU clocked at 680 MHz and cannot be overclocked to 1.3 GHz.

 There is talk of some other updates coming for the first gen devices though so it's worth checking for updates from time to time.
