I've heard that the Anna updates may have been pulled for US variants because some people had trouble with T-Mobile USA using 3G. I don't buy that, though, because my friend uses T-Mobile 3G on Anna, and has had no problems.

 

At this rate, it's just waiting for Belle, since the New Year is almost upon us, but I'm uneasy that we never received the Anna update, as it could point to the fact that we were overlooked or something is funky with OTA/Nokia suite updates.

Good news, everyone!

 

I noticed that the new Nokia Maps update was finally made available to my N8 (the one that has drive, weather, etc. separate from the actual Maps program), and so I went ahead and installed that. Curious, I checked software update on my computer, and Symbian Anna is finally avaiable to my NAM handset!

 

After the long wait, woohoo! I have product code 059D111. The update came as 25.008, for "bug fixes", and then after that Symbian Anna (part 1/2 + service pack) became available to my phone.

 

I hope the same is true for everyone else who has been patiently waiting!

25.008 just finished installing, and rebooted nicely, Symbia Anna is currently installing.

Seems like we start a little war with that issue but was worth it, Nokia as of today put back on server Anna release for all US product code. Go ahead and update your phones. I still have no idea why they stop distributing Anna but a definetly wasn't smart becouse lot of new software will work poorly with old ^3 Symbian a specialy ones from Nokia Beta Labs.

My E7 got it's update to Symbian Anna too! And we got the service pack as well as new maps and drive. I really, really like all the new stuff that comes with Anna.

Did anyone not get the update?

No, the E73 is a S60 v3 device and can't be updated to Symbian Anna.
