Same problem here!
I got my Lumia as a present from Microsoft to develop apps.
But it's really annoying if you have to wait such a long time to get a software update. I think developers need the updates first!
same situation here! it's a shame...really disappointing! :-/

i mailed nokia care yesterday and they replied today:
i am german, so the email is written in german:

Im Zusammenhang mit Ihrer Anfrage möchte ich Ihnen mitteilen, dass wir über keine offizielle Information diesbezüglich haben. Es ist uns nicht möglich diese Aktualisierung gleich für alle Produktcodes freizugeben und aus diesem Grund wird das schrittweise gemacht. Bitte haben Sie noch ein bisschen Geduld.

afterall they say, that it will take time to approve the update for all product codes and to be patient for a little longer time.

so there is no option for us to make a request to dowload the update since this product code was mostly for developer moblies.

i replied the nokia guys and they answered that unbranded devices will get the update AFTER the carriers have updated their phones....

Support just sent me an e-mail to tell me the update will not be available before 2 or 3 weeks... juste a shame for those who are currently developping for the market place!

1. Start Zune
2. Turn off Data connection and Wifi on the Phone
3. Connect the Phone with the PC (USB)
4. Start the update search in Zune
5. About 3 seconds later, disconnect your PC from the internet (Turn WLAN off).
6. Zune finds update. Press OK.
7. Connect to the internet again and install the update.
works for me..................i tried it on lumia 710

Hey, it is possible. I tried it like 20 times. The trick is a little complicated: you have to find the exact second to disconnect your PC while Zune is searching for an update. For example, everybody here said 3 - 5 seconds of waiting and then disconnect the PC; I tried with 7, 10, 12 and 15 seconds; the former gave me the update.
Let me know if you have more doubts about it.
And thanks everybody for the help!

nice
seems to work!
And i know why now:
First zune sends a request, if there is an update and the server answers with a yes.
Then zune checks if it's also available for the product code and then zune is unable to get a response because you turned off wifi ![]()
