USB   ROM    what do you mean by ROM rom is read only memory and not part of usb .

Windows drivers for usb are on the cd that came with the phone or windows may well install generic drivers .

Just make sure you have the latest version of Ovi Suite or Nokia Software Updater (NSU)  installed on your PC and you should be OK.  PC Suite is no longer developed and has been replaced by Ovi Suite or the standalone NSU.

I think you may be thinking about an error that appears during a firmware update.  I have also had a pop up saying Windows was unable to install Nokia USB ROM driver but it has never caused me any issues so I am not worrying about it.
