Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knows why Nokia haven't released the latest (v400.34.011) firmware on the unbranded E51 (product code 0557993)?  Every time I check on NSU I'm still told that v300.34.56 is the latest version.

I can understand that 'network-branded' models have delays getting new firmware, but what's the reason for stopping people having the latest version on unbranded handsets?

Same for me with product code 0570189.

I would be also interested in an official answer from NOKIA, but unfortunately none of my mails in the past (concerning to the update upto 300.34.56) had been answered except with standard babbling by NOKIA-Customer-Sevice.

In my case the update was possible not till 2 or 3 months after the first observations of the new version.

I don't know what they fiddled about in the meantime.

Only Nokia could answer that but sometimes they release first tru FOTA why don't you try it.

It might be for lack of FOTA on E51

sorry, is there any possibility to update to the latest firmware version earlier? or when will it be available? My product code is 0570189. My phone main menu freezes every 12hours after pushing the main softkey. Yes, i know this problem has already been mensioned. In the changelog of the latest firmware i saw this bugfix.

Same here. I know some body will try to understand my puzzle. My E51, RM-244, code- 0558469, firmware version- 220.34.37 and it has remained with this since I purchased. Version 300 came and gone, now version 400 has come. I was curious tried for upgrade but so sad to tell, it said 220.34.37 is the latest version. Why? Some body reply me please what is unbranded?

Is there any wayout or solution for upgrding this hand set? please help.

Yes, I have the same problem as the poster above.  I know that the softwae is released in waves, but really now--220.34.37 is a few updates behind, and the Nokia Update software keeps telling me it is the latest version!!  Is there any way to fix this and get the latest update?
