Monkeys??? How about little Worms! Know nothing... pass on to Nokia who has to pass on to Rogers because this is Rogers' responsibility to the customer.
Blame Rogers! I already left them eons ago...

How about the Nokia X7 from Rogers, Is it getting update to Belle?
2012-02-21 19:13
I have a Nokia X7-00 with Rogers, Why can't I get update to Belle. I had an 5800xpressmusic before also from Rogers, and Rogers allows me to upgrade to version 31. Why can we do the same with Rogers on the belle this time?

What ablot Nokia X7 in Canada?
2012-02-21 19:23
Why do Rogers not allow their Nokia X7 to upgrade to belle? What is the problem of their network. They did allow upgrade on my nokia 5800Xpressmusic to version 31 from the original version 21. What is wrong with them this time?
2012-02-21 19:39
I do believe that it is not Rogers fault for not letting the X7 to get belle because I owned a 5800Xpressmusic and I got updated from original version 20 to 31. So, Rogers did allow update to go through, it is a matter of Nokia who are trying to avoid some kind of technical issues. Since the X7 owners here in Canada is only very small population, so they will not care less.

@ VeePee,
You should not modify the software or hardware of your phone. Doing so might void the warranty of the device, and possibly damage it. Also therefore it is not allowed to discuss about unofficial modifying methods on Nokia Discussions forum.
If you are anxious to get the update, you can contact your local Nokia Care point and ask if they are willing to update your phone.
Hope this answers your question.

Hello,
My phone is now out of warranty as it has been past a year. I also never contact Rogers (my carrier) for phone support - just for billing.
So, to me - it is of no concern.
I would like to get Belle as it looks sort of cool! Sad that it will not get updated through the carrier.
But such is life!
Thanks for the info! Will look into it!

My first Nokia was a 3110 which I bought in 1998 I believe. I curently have a Nokia 500 on Mobilicity. In the mean time I had at least a dozen different Nokia phones the I really enjoyed. My favorite was probably the 6110. I'm sad to say this will probably be my last Nokia phone. Nokia Canada doesn't seem to care about their customers. Nokia 500 is not even listed on their web site.
So long Nokia, it was good while it lasted.
