Hi all,

I've seen that some of you were quicker than me - but here's the official confirmation now that we started to release the new update for X6 (software version 40.x.002).

As usually, the update is rolled out in waves and availability is also depending on operator approvals. So make sure you switch on your software update auto-check so that your phone notifies you once the update is available for you.

A simple update with only 3 improvements i.e., Browser, Swipe to unlock & Emoticons...for NOKIA X6..(its only 1.5 years old model in india)

a BIG Disappointment from Nokia regarding this update cos what we were expecting was some more additional features apart from these 3 things...i had sent them several suggestions & feedback regarding features to be added in the update to Nokia care via mails but all in vain....even option like folder playlist is not there in the update for this music player phone X6..shocking & strange....

Infact sometimes it sounds like Nokia has done a BIG favour to us by releasing this update for 1-3 years old models & without it life would have been miserable....

Come on Nokia why cant you do it when Modders can!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In short, i was not expecting this simpe update from Nokia.

if by mistake if you release update for X6 in future then kindly consider suggestions from the users..

That concerns the original N97 which hasn't been updated. N97mini is still supported(see first page) but we haven't got any news on updates. The last one dates back to 4 months ago

Because N97 was a technical disaster and nokia goofed up really bad on it.

Showing no customer curtosy, they dumped the phone , all those who bought it just lost their money and nokia is happy to acknowledge that unofficially.

Sorry if I sound rude, but in reality, it is just a frustration for having relied on nokia and being tricked so bad.

My nokia X6 8 gb RM-559 pc 059C2Q6 has still v31.I got the new maps not the fw v40,but other phones here in South Africa have already the updates.

I am from India and my 5235 is still stuck with V21.6.005 (RM-588). No updates for the last one year.

Any remote chance of getting any updates.
