I can't update my phone at all. I have tried connecting to my PC and Zune says I have no device connected. I have tried connecting while logged in to both the Marketplace and Zune. I have read the "How-to's" on windowsphone.com but I can't figure out what is wrong. Should I go into my local cell service provider and ask for help updating?

What are you running at the moment, if you are running 7.5 mango with firmware of 1750.0805.8773.12220, if you are using this then there is no current update avalible, so you will have to wait unitl the official 7.8 comes out
there are other ways but they are illegal as i have been informed, i hope this helped you

If you connecting it to Zune, you load up lune on your laptop or computer, what Operation system are you using? and after you load that up plug in your phone, your laptop or computer should come up with device manager and will say "devices installing" or something along thoese lines, after that it will boot up in zune, if it doese'nt you will have to find drivers for your system for the phone and for zune, also a usefull thing to do is run regedit and fine the zunedrivers and delete a cerificate will tell you once im on my other laptop ![]()

The update is being pushed in batches and your phone may only receive the update within the next three weeks. I suggest just checking daily or wait till the phone prompts you for an update.

Seems like you are having issues with zune recognizing your phone. Have you check this site: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2410180?lcid=1033 ? This should provide you troubleshooting steps that you can try to resolve your concern.
