hi,

i recently visited the nokia care fo the new win 7.8 upgrade for my lumia 710, but they turned me off, saying they cant upgrade it bcoz i bought it from singapore and they dnt have the required version.. now my question is what is the solution for this, and why is it on the first place since Nokia is a global company ???? plz reply thank u

At this time WP7.8 should not yet be made available as an update. If any source does they do so without approval of Nokia. Also might want to remember that in many cases Nokia Care Centres are independent shops and not owned by Nokia.

so are we gonna get the upgrade directly on our phones like the earlier ones, or we have to stick to the old 7.5

As paulheu points out obtaining WP7.8 by any other method than via Zune is currently entirely feasible but would invalidate any warranty upon the device.

you will have to contact them yourself and ask, but do not be surprised if they don't have it. anyways, a month's wait isn't long for the 7.8 update to come to you.
