I am using Nokia Software Updater 3.0.605 on Win XP.
Just like to know where does it store the downloaded image? I have looked into the installation path, as well as the "Application Data" but can't seem to find it.
Try the following path in Windows explorer;
Obviously, replace "Ray" with your name and "rm-596" with the rm of your particular phone (rm-596 is for the N8).
It's taking up disk space after flash, just wanted to get rid of it.
The location on my PC is:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia\NSU3\NOSSU2\variants\Products\rm-696
Thanks ray for the info.
For windows 7 (64bit version but it doesn't matter) the path is:
eg. for my n95 the path is:
p.s. ProgramData is a hidden directory by default; you should activate the "show hidden files" option on folder options before. Nokia suite downloads the firmware in some specific parts instead of a single image so you will find 5-6 different files in your model "RM-xxx" directory; professional skills and service software are needed to use theese files do not attempt to do something if you dont really know & understand what are you doing and the risks of it.
