I can not connect to the internet, neither through wi-fi (even unsecured) nor through mobile data. And yes i have turned both on. Any ideas?

Same problem here. c6-01 with belle : "access denied"

Just tap on the top of screen in the downward direction and select the mobile data to turn it on
OR
go to setting>connectivity>setting> mobile data> ON

I had the same problem with N8 - Solved with formating micro SDHC card. You  can use any one it dosen't have to be the same one you had . Just put in a 1GB SDHC Memory card and format it and you will get you WIFI and Mobile Data back.

i formatted my mass memory and memory card both on my c7 and now my mobile data is working fine
