Ohh well, frst o all..u spelled my name wrong..maybe u've forgotten that too! Go back to ur messenger and check ur list before u return back d next time..
Comin back to ur query, well.. it's "improvement"
Any company doesnt sit idle n count upon its success once they achieve t. They're supposed to start researching once again, and develop something more innovative to keep that place for themselves.. or some other firm will come up and **bleep** the success away from Nokia. That's the way the world is. For example, we have the Android platform from Google, and the iPhone specific linux based platform from apple as "Symbian platform's" competitors.
If Nokia wud've been busy rejoicing over its success of S60v2, there'd be no N73s in the hands of people.. every1 would instead own an android based mobile or an iPhone by now, because of the higher imaging capabilities and own(i'm talking about data processing abilities here, not just the megapixel ranges)
So, like any other company, even Nokia dint rejoice over s60V2 or s60v3's success, and went ahead with its R&D work.. to invent the S60v4 and S60v5 platforms.. which fill the loopholes(like memory management and all) of the prior platoforms. For this, it should've spent a lot on the R&D work of s60v4 and S60v5..which it needs to get back in profits, or else Nokia'll be bankrupt within no time. So, that's the reason they offer such later R&D work on only future devices which hold the future platforms.
If it starts giving out Demand Paging for every N73/N70, no1 wud prefer byuying a higher priced S60v5 based device for the sake of ODP wen it's available in a cheaper N70/N73.And if that happens, there'll be lesser sales of the s60v5 platform, on which Nokia must've spent billions for R&D, thus incurring losses, and will eventually have to shut down the company. So there's a reason behind it all u see...
