Back up Poem

I wanna update.

I wanna update now.

My pc is not running well, but i cannot wait.

I need to update. Just need to!

Ah, God, it went wrong. My phone is bricked...

Everything is lost...

Have to take it to a Nokia care point.

Everything is lost....

But wait!  -  It's not that bad. I followed Carman's advice.

I have backed up... :smileytongue:

Re: BACK UP YOUR PHONE

The reason for the post was simply that I'd read a couple of posts from people who didn't have backups and so no way to solve their problem. Nothing's foolproof, I sync with Ovi.com and had a problem updating my calender and notes the other day (after a reset), because it was down for maintainance ! Sorted now, but I sync my phone most days and do a backup every month or so, I know people who have never backed up there phone, and basically, if they have a problem or lose it , they're screwed, so just a bit of sensible advice really !

Re: BACK UP YOUR PHONE

Good advice! I back up once in a while too, to make sure I keep my contacts and messages. I have found it necessary due to the moody n97.

Re: BACK UP YOUR PHONE

Actually, I backup my phone once a week on Ovi Suite, but I had set up my phone to backup to memory card everyday at 1am (as I sleep). So yeah, I have a backup for everyday. ^_^

Re: BACK UP YOUR PHONE

Maybe we should just tell them all to set their Ovi Suites and phones to autobackup everyday. :smileyhappy:

Re: BACK UP YOUR PHONE

I may be being a bit thick but what's the difference between a backup and a sync. Sync seems to copy all of my contacts, messages and photos to the computer so what does a backup do that a sync doesn't?
