Re: C5 Memory full, but where do I delete the files?

i guess this might solve ur problem.
remove ur memory card in order to protect ur imp applications.
take a back up of files like contacts, messages, calendar etc.
then restore factory settings.
then restore the back up.

Re: C5 Memory full, but where do I delete the files?

Other files are your browsing web caches. You dont have need to format your mobile. This is very simple problem. You just try the following steps.1) open your mobile's original web browser2) go to settings3) go to privacy settings4) select 'clear privacy data'5) select 'clear cache'6) press ok now check your memory

Re: C5 Memory full, but where do I delete the files?

I am encountering the memory issue with the C5 and have identified  that it's when I use facebook that my phone memory is rapidly sapped away.  There does not seem to be an option anywhere to clear the cache for the C5 facebook app.  Can anyone assist with this?  thanks in advance

Re: C5 Memory full, but where do I delete the files?

There is an inherent problem, i did everything possible, the phone keeps using up memory somehow without the user performing any actions.

Dont even take this phone if you are given it.

But if you do have it peform a soft and hard reset it to actually retrieve memory.

This can be performed by entering these codes:

*#7780#

*#7370#

Dont forget to back-up first.

All future installations must be saved to memory card.

And get a new phone.

Re: C5 Memory full, but where do I delete the files?

I have found a solution for this problem: I'm getting a new phone.

This is really a joke. I own the C5-00 for over a year now and I did three hard resets in that year. I can't find out what's eating up the memory at all. There's nothing left on my phone which I could delete anymore. Granted, the C5-00 is not a very highend phone but still I'd expect it to work. I mean perform the most basic tasks for me. But I totally quit internet browsing, emailing, using maps,... Everything I bought this phone for I can't use because it will only make my memory fill up even quicker.

There's no internet cache left on my phone, no mails, no maps data (I updated 3.04 to something later). I'm not stupid, usually I get my electronics to work. But this phone has won over me. I give up.

And the bad thing is that the internet is full with "Nokia Memory Full" posts. And nothing seems to work except hard resets. And even that is hard for me cause as there is no Apple Mac version of Nokia Suite I can't even do proper backups.

I guess no one of you is interested in my rants but maybe someone from Nokia will read this and check the net and see that basically everyone who ever got a Nokia has the Memory Full problem.

Goodbye, you won't see me again Nokia.

Re: C5 Memory full, but where do I delete the files?

well well well, i have tackled same problem. :smileylol:

problem was , after after updating os of my nokia c5 via nokia software updater, my phone shows full c memory and clear some items, but when i go to clean the c memory there was nothing, and none of applications were working , no calls were registered,

solution, after searching aand trying a lot i found a very good simple and working trick,

1.) Remove memory card

2.) back up all your contacts and messages etc from phone memory, if your ae not able to backup your contacts then you can copy then to your sim and retrieve later.

3.) switch off your phone and remove your sim

4.) switch on your phone without sim

5) type *#7370#, it will ask password give your security password , or by default it is 12345 and confirm

6) leave your phone , it will switch off immediately and switch on after 10-15 sec autometacally ,

now your phone has bees restored to original state, and restore your contacts and messages and enjoy!!!!!

Re: C5 Memory full, but where do I delete the files?

iam a chronic Nokia user..
Nokia C5.00 with 2mp camera has
some problems..
Solution is-
install a 3rd party file manager like-
Netqin or Xplore free versn. Try to clear all the cache frm
browsers, web feeds.
Clean up internal storage.
Google map eat a lot of memory,so-
open Google map and go to option-
setting-reset map. It dosnt delete the starred item just
clean up the cache..
Try no to use mailbox in this phone..
If u want to use it then just delete the
mail box each time after usage.
It will help u..

Re: C5 Memory full, but where do I delete the files?

NOKIA C5-03 This phone is a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!

Soft reset cleared the memory but after all the difficulties with this phone I'd rather carry a house brick around with me.

What happened to "it just works"?

Samsung Galaxy IV here I come!

Re: C5 Memory full, but where do I delete the files?

There is a folder
wscashe in the c
memory that can be
either hidden or visible
which saves all things u
do in ur phone simply
thats call cache
memory.If u can find
that folder delete it,if not
then u can reset ur
phone, I have done the
same many a times,
First of all ,Go to file
manager take a backup
for ur all data (the back
should be saved in
Memory card),then take
ur memory card out
from the phone,go to
dialer press
*#7780# ,press ok and u
r done .It'll hardly take 5
mins.Ur phone will
restart,then insert m
card ,go to file manager
then go to backup
option ,restore ur data,ur
all
settings,notes,messages
etc will b back at there
places..Thats all,ur
problem will be solved
and also ,ur phone will
work faster than before..
