E72 email set up

Hi

I'm trying to set up my email account with e-mail wizard. I enter my e-mail address and password and when I press OK it shows DETECTING EMAIL SETTINGS and nothing happens. I simply can't create a mailbox.

Can somebody please help?

Thanks

Are your Packet-data (gprs) and WLAN connections set?

Re: E72 email set up

Not having a Packet-data connection might be a problem if Nokia Messaging is trying to detect connection settings. If you don't want to use NM, you can set up your default e-mail manually and use WLAN only.

Re: E72 email set up

After E72 managed to lose all email settings on FOTA upgrade to v52.005 just a couple of points to remember.

You do need a 3G network connection which as o2 UK tends to fall back on GSM at peak periods doesn't help matters.

If you don't want to accept invitation to time limited Nokia Messaging then be sure to click on DECLINE at bottom right:
